It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the chance.

That loss "drove us to reevaluate our levels," Healy stated recently.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was awarded tournament MVP. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort can be debated.

Some will argue the case for the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've observed me in training, it was a disappointing period because I feel like I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive nature kick in and you simply focus on the contest."

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the final thing rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

During the last week a belief they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those physical issues have postponed plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as leader.

Victory in India would bring her to the top of her ultimate challenge.
