19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid year, winning just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
His defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on court had caused some to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play positively, backed up by an enhanced service.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, securing 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped break points in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.
He rescued 4 initial opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
